Veolia’s Brine Mining Technology Solutions

Partnership in Innovation: Advancing Water Treatment Solutions for Salt Production

Leveraging shared expertise, Veolia and Hyrec have combined their advanced water treatment technologies - Veolia's nanofiltration (NF) and seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) pretreatment and Hyrec's osmotically assisted reverse osmosis (OARO) technology - to revolutionize salt production. This technological synergy, demonstrated at Southeast Asia's largest OARO facility, delivers premium salt while significantly reducing operational costs and capital investment.

Our Technology Solutions for Brine Mining

Membrane Systemshyrec

Veolia’s Nanofiltration systems are best in class for hardness removal and recovering valuable minerals and metals from concentrated brines. Our Reverse Osmosis Systems are used to concentrate Nanofiltration permeates and concentrate NaCl. This creates two to three valuable streams for circular recovery. With water, salt and mineral becoming value streams.
