E.C.O.Film Transformational Cooling Technology
Kevin Thompson - Cooling Product Applications Expert, Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions
Etienne Painchaud - Lead Account Manager, Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions
The use of phosphate in cooling tower water treatment, the workhorse program since the 1970s, is becoming an everyday challenge due to new discharge regulations, scaling potential and the increased load in biocide demand. Because phosphate acts as a nutrient, it drives algae growth in the system and into discharge rivers and lakes. It can also form calcium phosphate in stressed systems.
E.C.O.Film is a patented chemistry launched by Veolia in 2019, and this technology has since proven its superiority as a non-phosphate cooling treatment program. It has been applied in hundreds of cooling systems around the world, with many types of water, and has enabled improved corrosion, deposition and microbiological control. It has also saved users from costly phosphate removal post-treatment and environmental discharge fines.
This webinar will present the features and benefits of the E.C.O.Film technologies by focusing on field applications that have seen impressive water savings, reduced corrosion rates and improvements in safety and ease-of-use aspects.
