Celebrating Women and Girls in Science: Inspiring the Next Generation at Veolia

Every year on February 11th, the United Nations recognizes the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. This important day shines a light on the persistent barriers women and girls face globally within STEM fields, while also celebrating their incredible achievements and resilience. At Veolia, we believe in fostering a future where everyone has the opportunity to explore their passion for science. This year, we wanted to do something special to mark the occasion: we decided to go straight to the source of inspiration – the young girls themselves.

We reached out to the daughters and nieces of our Veolia employees, eager to hear their perspectives. We wanted to learn more about their curiosity for science, what inventions they would create to help the planet, and how we can encourage other girls to develop an interest in science.
